Past-President
| Cai Smith is one-half of the writing team of Marilu Mann. Cai has
always written, and has been an avid reader since first learning how
to read, but it wasn't until 2002 that she and her best friend decided
to take the plunge into publishing. They quickly learned just how much
they really didn't know about writing a novel. With the advice of a
friend who was a published author, they discovered RWA and from there
the land and on-line chapters. With seven finished manuscripts by 2005, they took the contest plunge and achieved some success there. In October of 2007, they sold their first paranormal manuscript to Ellora's Cave, immediately followed by a second sale in November of the same year. Their first book with Ellora's Cave will be released on May 7, 2008. Serving the board as Past President in an advisory capacity at the request of the current President, Cai happily resides in Texas after ten years in much colder climes. Cai is a single-parent to The Diva Child, and a member of FTHRW, FF&P, and Passionate Ink on-line chapters. |
