I have loved writing all of my life. During my younger years, before I realized the time it took to write a good novel, my dream was to put it on paper, and the rest would be gravy. Now that I’ve become more realistic in my expectations, I have found the journey to be the best part of writing and a process not as simple as putting pen to paper. My first manuscript, “Hers to Forgive,” is a historical that is very near and dear to my heart. It is based on my great, great grandfather’s journal written in 1849 as he traveled out West on a wagon train. I am also working on a sequel to Hers to Forgive. I am an active member of FTHRW, and together with my new duties as Membership Committee Chair, I will continue to dispense membership pins to our newest members. In addition, I am a member of the Sacramento Valley Rose Chapter of RWA for five years and work as publicity chairperson for the past four. Since joining FTHRW, I have found it to be both educational and fun with the friendships I’ve gained. I live in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California with my husband of 36 years. Besides my writing career, I work two days a week in an art gallery, have been president of country singing artist Kevin Sharp’s fan club for ten years, and run my husband’s handyman business.
